Another song inspired by the hitch-hiking trip of my youth. This one about the Mojave Desert, but not really. Using that name and the images it produces I talk about a person's inner space. A lot of echo on the guitar for this one too! What can I say, I love the effect!
lyrics
The Mojave
Desert of my soul
Where I dare not go
Where I dare not go
The eagle
He catches my eye
Why can't I fly?
I hope I never die
What does it mean
To get high?
I'm not usually
An angry sort of guy
Sometimes
At night I cry
And I'm still a child inside
Just asking the questions why
All of these and more
Are reasons why
I don't go to the
Mojave Desert of my soul
And then the eagle
Catches my eye
Why can't I fly?
I hope I never die
Why can't I fly?
